A 97-page third draft dated 2 June 2006 and credited to Robert Rhodin follows Astrid from Korpklint through Kaupang to Wollin.

The 2005 character portrayal guide records the relationships and motivations behind the Silverlock family, companions and rivals.

World design

Original concepts explore harbours, interiors, castles and landscapes, giving the imagined Viking world its lived-in atmosphere.

Storyboards

A 393-page storyboard translates the tale into hundreds of visual beats, from the opening voyage to Astrid’s later trials.

    The Swedish Film Institute’s MEDIA newsletter records development support for an Astrid Silverlock multimedia concept at Image Factory AB.

  2. 2005

    Character world

    The portrayal guide defines the Silverlock family, Astrid’s allies and the rivals who threaten Korpklint.

  3. 2006

    Script, art and storyboard

    Robert Rhodin’s third-draft screenplay, original character paintings, environment concepts and the extensive storyboard bring the film’s early vision together.

  4. 2009

    Public concept art

    White Shark’s published report shows Astrid and Byrnwolf concept artwork alongside original environments.
